Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 1 pound frozen meatballs beef or turkey
  • 2 cups marinara sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup uncooked pasta penne or rotini
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
  • 1 cup water to cook the pasta
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, uncooked pasta, water, and seasonings. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
