Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for juiciness
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
Toppings
  • 1 cup marinara sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 4 pieces burger buns toasted
Optional Garnishes
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined and form into 4 equal patties.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Add Toppings
  1. In the last minute of cooking, spoon marinara sauce over each patty, then top with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Cover to melt the cheese.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Place each patty on a toasted burger bun. Add optional garnishes like fresh basil and Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
