Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients.
  4. Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Bake the Ribs
  1. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up.
  2. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
Add Barbecue Sauce
  1. Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.
  2. Brush the barbecue sauce generously over the ribs.
  3. Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
Serve
  1. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
