Ingredients
  

Beans and Meat
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 2 cans baked beans 15 oz each
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard yellow or Dijon
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the baked beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until bubbly and slightly caramelized on top.
