Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all necessary ingredients.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine blackberries and sugar. Toss gently and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish. Spoon the blackberry mixture over the batter.
  2. Pour the remaining batter over the blackberries. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
