  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp pumpkin spice blend
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, pumpkin spice blend, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix canned pumpkin puree with granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Add eggs and oil or melted butter; whisk until blended.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until no flour streaks remain. Optionally, fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
