  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them into thin rounds.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Gradually whisk in heavy cream until smooth. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potato slices followed by half of the cheese sauce. Repeat with remaining potatoes and sauce.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Remove foil during the last 15 minutes for a golden crust.
