- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, alternating with dark rum until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, combine brown sugar, butter, dark rum, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- After baking, poke holes in the warm cake and pour half of the glaze over it.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack and drizzling with remaining glaze.
