  • 200g kunafa noodles (fresh if possible)
  • 75g unsalted butter (melted)
  • 250ml whole milk
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 250ml whipping cream (chilled)
  • 30g chopped pistachios (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Break kunafa noodles into small pieces and place in a bowl.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then pour over the kunafa noodles and mix until fully coated.
  3. Press the buttered kunafa mixture into muffin tins or silicone molds to form cups.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  5. While cups cool, whisk together milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently remove cooled kunafa cups from molds and fill each with cream mixture. Top with pistachios if desired before serving immediately.
