  • 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 cup real maple syrup
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut into large chunks.
  2. In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture onto the pork.
  3. Place seasoned pork in a slow cooker; add maple syrup, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, and mustard.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until fork-tender.
  5. Shred the pork with two forks and serve on slider buns with extra sauce.
