  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  2. Season both sides of fillets generously with salt and pepper; let rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil and half the butter until shimmering.
  4. Place fillets skin-side down in the skillet; cook for 4-5 minutes without flipping until golden brown.
  5. Flip the fillets, add minced garlic and lemon juice around them; cook until garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Reduce heat to low, add remaining butter, lemon zest, and parsley; baste fillets gently until cooked through (about 3 more minutes).
