Ingredients

  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Granulated sugar
  • Unsalted butter
  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • Fresh or frozen cherries
  • Cream cheese
  • Powdered sugar
  • Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter and sugar, mixing well. Add cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in all-purpose flour until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and lemon juice; mix until creamy.
  5. Fold chopped cherries into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, top with half of the cheesecake layer, then add the remaining brownie batter. Swirl together lightly.
