  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • Cilantro (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and tools: a pot, large pan, and colander.
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot over high heat.
  3. Cook spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain in a colander.
  4. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Return drained noodles to the pot with garlic. Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil; toss until well coated.
  6. Sprinkle red pepper flakes according to your spice preference and toss again.
  7. Plate the noodles, garnish with green onions and cilantro if desired, then serve hot.
