- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cloves fresh garlic
- 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- Handful of fresh basil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients. Chop garlic and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- While the chicken cooks, boil water in another pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Pour heavy cream into the skillet with chicken and garlic. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Mix cooked pasta with the sauce and shredded mozzarella until well combined. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and extra Parmesan if desired.
