Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil or butter for sautéing
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onion and mincing the garlic.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil or butter. Sauté the onions until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add minced garlic until fragrant.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook each side for about 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, followed by smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir gently while scraping any browned bits from the bottom.
- Add uncooked rice directly into the sauce mixture. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover tightly, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice absorbs all liquid.
- Fluff the rice with a fork before serving. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
