- 4 oz milk chocolate, chopped
- 4 oz white chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp gelatin powder
Instructions
- Melt dark, milk, and white chocolates in separate bowls using a double boiler; let cool slightly.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, gradually adding sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold melted dark chocolate into half of the whipped cream. Repeat with milk and white chocolate separately.
- Bloom gelatin in cold water for five minutes; mix into one layer of mousse while warm.
- Pour dark chocolate mousse into a prepared cake ring; refrigerate for 30 minutes. Add milk chocolate layer on top, refrigerate again, then add white chocolate layer.
- Chill overnight for best results and serve with fresh berries or whipped cream.
