  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 sweet onions (quartered)
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon (halved)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove giblets from the turkey, rinse under cold water, and pat dry.
  2. Rub softened butter all over the turkey, then season generously with salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, sage, and garlic.
  3. Stuff the cavity with quartered onions and lemon halves for added moisture and flavor.
  4. Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a pan and pour chicken broth into the bottom.
